GB Card and Partners are proud to have been the geotechnical and environmental design engineers behind The Quarry project which has won ‘Regeneration Project of the Year’ at the 2018 London Construction Awards, as well as ‘First Time Buyer’s’ Award for Best Family Home at an award ceremony this Spring.

On June 11th 2019 the Northern Geotechnical Group met in Newcastle for the presentation by Geoff Card of ‘Ground Gas – past, present and future’.

Geoff Card presented on how and why the Gas Screening Value criteria for assessing ground gas regimes and the scope of gas protection methods has evolved the way it has, the advantages, disadvantages and limitations.

18th June 2019 marked the beginning of ground investigation to build a new rail bridge – a missing link to reopen the Ardingly branch line for Bluebell Railway in Sussex and reconnect with the national rail network at Hayward’s Heath.
