Award Winning – The Quarry Project

GB Card and Partners are proud to have been the geotechnical and environmental design engineers behind The Quarry project which has won ‘Regeneration Project of the Year’ at the 2018 London Construction Awards, as well as ‘First Time Buyer’s’ Award for Best Family Home at an award ceremony this Spring.

What’s more, The Quarry has recently been shortlisted in the ‘Unbuilt Education’ category in the New London Awards taking place on the 3rd July.  It has also been awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the Best Affordable Homes category at the London Evening Standard New Homes Awards 2019.

The development, which is a joint venture by L&Q and The Anderson Group is described by L&Q as ‘A truly impressive eco-development set to breathe new life into the disused Erith Quarry site which has lain neglected for the past 40 years. The scheme will be transformed into a collection of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom new homes released across several phases. The development will include a new primary school, community facilities, retained ecological areas and newly provided open space – all complementing the existing landscape.’

The Quarry project has been a collaborative effort between GB Card and Partners, Stomor, Studio Egret West and Lee Remediation to design, remediate and engineer this former landfill site on behalf of L&Q and Anderson Group and we’re pleased that the hard work and vision has been recognised with these awards and nominations.
