Welcome Back Kerry
Kerry has recently re-joined the GB Card & Partners team following nearly five years living in Australia. Kerry is now working in our Exeter office as a Principal Consultant and is enjoying working on some familiar projects as well as some new challenges.
For the last three years, Kerry worked for State Government managing the largest contaminated sites projects on Crown Land in Western Australia. This included the Northampton Lead Tailings Project which included the construction of a containment cell for lead contaminated material and working on the Wittenoom Asbestos Management Area. Wittenoom was the location of historical mining of blue asbestos with an estimated 2 million cubic metres of asbestos tailings in vast stockpiles remaining in the gorges. Kerry’s experience in the public sector has really helped her appreciate what a client needs in a consultant and is looking forward to incorporating this into her role at GB Card and Partners.
Prior to her time in government, Kerry has gained extensive knowledge of PFAS by managing a number of projects for the Australian Department of Defence in the Northern Territory and Queensland as well as a large-scale PFAS investigation at Perth Airport in Western Australia. She particularly enjoyed sediment and surface water sampling in crocodile infested waters in swamps close to Darwin.
Outside of work Kerry enjoys running, going to the gym and being at the beach, the latter mainly due to her husband’s obsession with windsurfing.
