Job Opportunity: Geoenvironmental/Geotechnical Engineer
GB Card & Partners are seeking a Geoenvironmental/Geotechnical Engineer with approximately two years of post-graduate experience to join our busy team in Exeter.
The role will involve a combination of office-based and site-based work, supporting senior members of the team in both Exeter and London. The successful candidate will provide input on geotechnical assessment and design, such as temporary works, shallow and deep foundations and slope stability, and the assessment, remediation and verification of land quality. Responsibilities will include the supervision of ground investigation works, the assessment and interpretation of data, and report writing. The ability to work well within a team is important.
The types of projects the successful applicant will be involved in will include the redevelopment of brownfield sites, such as former gas works and landfills, and transport infrastructure projects such as railways, roads, ports, and harbours.
In-house and external training will be provided as required, including geotechnical and environmental modelling software and CAD. Attaining relevant industry accreditations, such as Chartered Geologist status, will be actively encouraged and supported through our mentoring scheme.
Salary is negotiable and will be reflective of experience and qualifications.
