Exciting Employment Opportunities with GB Card and Partners

GB Card & Partners is currently in a position of having two job opportunities within the company.

Principal Engineer – upwards

GBCP are looking to recruit an experienced Geotechnical Principal Engineer (upwards), with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to work as part of our expanding team (based in the Exeter office or the South-East).

The role will involve predominantly office-based work, although some site-based work could be required from time to time. The successful applicant should be able to effectively project manage, including financial management. They should also be able to produce technical assessments and designs as well as have the skills to produce and review interpretive and design reports. They’ll also need to be able to offer expert advice to clients and other team members and be flexible to attend site visits and project meetings when necessary.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ project management experience
  • Practical knowledge of Oasys and AutoCAD software
  • A degree in Civil and/or Geotechnical engineering
  • Chartered member of a relevant institution
  • Full UK drivers’ licence

Remuneration package is negotiable and will be reflective of experience and qualifications.

Senior Engineer/Engineer

Additionally, GBCP are looking to recruit a senior engineer/engineer to work as part of our growing South-East based team.

This is a varied role, covering a range of tasks including liaising with clients and statutory bodies on current projects, understanding project requirements and scope of work. Contributing to the production of technical design information, including calculations, specifications and reports as well as data management, analysis and technical report writing. This role will involve a combination of office-based and site-based work.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Geology, environmental science or civil engineering
  • Knowledge of the CDM regulations and construction industry health and safety
  • Computer literate, being fully competent in the use of word & excel
  • Full driving licence
  • Previous CAD experience

Remuneration package is negotiable and will be reflective of experience and qualifications.
