After a period of inactivity, the ICE Exeter City Club is back on its feet again starting with a social networking event at the Mill on the Exe on Thursday 25th August from 6 pm. Join our team at the event, including our Geotechnical Design Engineer Jola Brown, who has become a part of the restored committee. This kick-starting event aims to bring like-minded Engineers together to stay connected and network with other ICE members in the local area.

This will hopefully be the first of many events, as the Exeter City Club looks to revive a programme of regular activities on the final Thursday of each calendar month.
No booking is required for the event, just turn up to the venue and look out for a table with the ICE logo. This event is open to all ICE members and those interested in joining.

GB Card & Partners have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with technical design knowledge to join our rapidly expanding team. We provide expert geotechnical advice to a wide range of clients in the building, energy, ports and harbours and transport sectors.

Preferably UK chartered, or nearly chartered in a relevant profession, with a first degree in Civil Engineering. A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required. The role will involve predominantly office design-based work, in either our South East or South West offices. Some site-based work could be required from time to time.

The successful candidate will be responsible for project management, client liaison, technical assessment and design, and report writing. Knowledge of geotechnical software is essential. Exceptional team working skills are imperative to be able to contribute to and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Remuneration package is negotiable and will be reflective of experience and qualifications.
